But It’s Tradition!

During Global Game Jam 2016 we, me and a team of 5, created “But It’s Tradition!”. The them of GGJ 2016 was the word “Ritual”. The game is therefore inspired by a ritual preformed in a village in western India, where toddlers are dropped from the roof of a mosque, 15 meters down and caught with a bedsheet. This ritual is preformed to give the toddler good fortune. The game won “Game of the Year” prize.

SheepLess – The Last Yawn

SheepLess is about a student that struggles to stay awake in class. The game takes place in the students mind where a shepherd (the heroin) has to fight of the sheep before thy jump over the fence. In the background the player can see through the students eyes. If a sheep jumps over the fence, the eyelids close a little more when fully shut the game is over. As the player kills the attacking sheep, the shepherd unlocks power-ups to help fight off sleep.
